Moralito

Moralito is a Colombian born, London based record collector and DJ with over 15 years of digging. Rooted in Latin and Afro rhythms, his all vinyl sets move between salsa, cumbia and soukous, through funk, disco and jazz.

He is one half of Candela Wax alongside Cal Jader (Movimientos) and cofounder of both Clandestina, a Latin party held in unconventional locations, and Discotek, which brings together key figures from London's Latin and Afro diasporic scene. He also runs Analog Salsa con Moralito at Space Talk, the first all vinyl salsa night there with live percussion. On the radio, he hosted Alma on Portobello Radio and now hosts Super Tropico on Voices Radio.

A regular at Jazu, The Jago and Bar Doña, he has shared the booth with Gia Fu, Tash LC, Mitú, La Nena Magdalena, Montañera and Akolá Tambó. He has played across Bogotá, at Carnaval de Barranquilla, Tate Modern Lates for the Frida Kahlo exhibition and BFI's Ritmos de América Latina at the London Film Festival.
